Terms of Service

Effective Date: 12th October, 2026

Welcome to ipoalerts ("we," "our," "us", "ipoalerts" or "ipoalerts.in"). These Terms are an agreement between you and ipoalerts. By accessing or using our website, https://ipoalerts.in ("Website" or "Platform", including all paths and subdomains), our APIs, and associated services (together, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"), our Privacy Policy and our Disclaimer. If you use the Services on behalf of a company or other organisation, you agree to these Terms on its behalf, and "you" refers to that organisation. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Services.

1. Scope of Service

ipoalerts aggregates, transforms and normalises publicly accessible data on IPOs in India and makes it available through the Website, APIs, alerts and related features. Certain features require registration or a paid plan, and some Services may be subject to additional terms. Our fees are for the service of aggregation, organisation and delivery of data, and not for access to proprietary exchange data.

2. Eligibility

To use the Services, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age and competent to enter into a binding contract.
  • Have the legal authority to enter into these Terms, including on behalf of any organisation you represent.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration and to keep it up to date. Failure to do so may result in the suspension or termination of your account.

Fees are charged for account features and API access. Creating an account or paying for a plan does not give you ownership of any data.

3.2 Account Security and API Keys

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential, including email access, passkeys and API keys. You must keep API keys on your servers and must not embed them in public websites, mobile apps or other client-side code where others can read them. You are responsible for all activity under your account and API keys. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised use. We are not liable for losses caused by unauthorised use of your account or API keys.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Services for any illegal or unauthorised purpose.
  • Upload malware, viruses or other harmful code, or use the Services for phishing, spam or other malicious activity.
  • Attempt to hack, disrupt, overload or compromise the security of our systems, or circumvent rate limits, quotas or other usage limits.
  • Scrape, crawl, mine or bulk-download data from the Website, or access the Services by any automated means other than our published APIs, without our prior written permission.
  • Share, sell or transfer your account or API keys, or create multiple accounts to get around plan limits.
  • Redistribute Data, as described in Section 6.3.
  • Use the Services for real-time trading, automated or algorithmic trading, or any activity that needs a live or official exchange data feed, or present the Data as a substitute for such a feed.
  • Engage in activities that harm ipoalerts, its users, or people associated with us.

We may suspend accounts or API keys that breach this section.

5. APIs

API access is subject to the request quota, rate limits and features of your plan. We may change, add or remove API endpoints, fields and response formats, and will try to give reasonable notice of breaking changes. We may throttle or suspend API access that threatens the stability or security of the Services.

6. Using the Data

"Data" means the IPO data, GMP data, alerts and other information you receive from the Services, whether through the Website, the APIs or any other channel.

6.1 Licence

Subject to these Terms and the limits of your plan, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable and revocable licence to access and use the Data as permitted in this Section 6. This licence covers both personal and commercial use.

6.2 What you may do

You may consume the Data. In particular, you may:

  • Display the Data to your end users in your websites, mobile apps, newsletters, social media posts, chat bots and other products and services, including paid products.
  • Use the Data in internal tools, dashboards, spreadsheets, reports and workflows within your organisation.
  • Combine the Data with other information, and create analysis, charts, summaries, alerts and other works derived from it.
  • Store and cache the Data as reasonably needed for these uses.
  • Serve the Data from your own back-end to your own front-ends (for example, your app fetching data from your server), as long as that interface is not made available to third parties.

Your employees and contractors working on your behalf are part of your organisation for these purposes.

6.3 Redistribution is not permitted

You may not redistribute the Data. "Redistribute" means making the Data available to anyone outside your organisation in a form that lets them take or reuse the Data itself, as-is or with only minimal changes. This includes making the Data available:

  • Through an API, webhook or other programmatic interface.
  • As downloadable or exported files, such as Excel, CSV, JSON or XML.
  • As a data feed, RSS or Atom feed, bulk dataset or data dump.
  • By reselling, sublicensing or sharing access to the Services or your API keys.

"Minimal changes" include renaming or reordering fields, reformatting, filtering, sorting, converting between formats, or adding only small amounts of other data.

You may not do indirectly what this section prohibits. For example, a page or app whose main purpose is to let others scrape or download the Data in bulk is redistribution, even if it also displays the Data.

If you are unsure whether a use is permitted, or you want to redistribute the Data, contact us at [email protected] before you start.

6.4 Your responsibilities when displaying Data

  • You are responsible for your products and for how your end users use the Data you show them.
  • You must not present the Data as official exchange, regulator or issuer data, or state or imply that ipoalerts, NSE, BSE, SEBI or any issuer endorses your product.
  • You must not present the Data as investment advice, and you remain responsible for complying with any laws that apply to your own products, including securities laws.

6.5 Nature of these rights

We do not claim ownership of the underlying facts we aggregate, which remain subject to the rights of their original sources. The permissions and restrictions in this Section 6 are conditions of your access to and use of the Services, and apply regardless of whether any particular Data is protected by intellectual property rights.

6.6 When your access ends

When your account or plan ends, or we terminate your access, the licence in Section 6.1 ends for any further use of the Data. You do not have to remove content you published before then, such as articles or social media posts, but you must stop using the Data to update or power your products.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Our Platform

The Website, APIs, software, documentation, design, text, graphics, and the ipoalerts name and logo belong to ipoalerts or its licensors. Except for your use of the Data under Section 6, you may not copy, modify, distribute or sell any part of the Services without our prior written consent.

Third-party names and trademarks, including "NSE," "BSE" and "SEBI," belong to their respective owners.

7.2 Information You Submit

You keep ownership of any information you submit to us, such as feedback or details about your use case. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use it as necessary to provide and improve the Services. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you.

8. Payments, Plan Changes and Refunds

Certain features are available only on paid plans. Prices are shown on our pricing page and are exclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, which acts as our authorised reseller and Merchant of Record for all orders. Dodo Payments issues the invoice for each payment and handles order-related billing enquiries, taxes and refunds. Your payment is also subject to Dodo Payments' own terms.

8.1 Subscriptions and Renewal

Paid plans are subscriptions that renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) at the then-current price, plus applicable taxes, until cancelled. By subscribing, you authorise recurring charges to your payment method. You can cancel at any time from the billing page of your dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access to paid features until then. If a renewal payment fails, we may pause or downgrade your plan until payment succeeds.

8.2 Plan Changes

  • Changes that increase your request quota, add an add-on, or move you from monthly to yearly billing take effect immediately. You pay the full price of the new plan, and the unused value of your current plan is added to your new billing period as extra days. Unused value is calculated on the time left in your current period, reduced if you have used your request quota faster than that time has passed. It is never paid out as money or refunded.
  • Changes that reduce your request quota, remove an add-on, or move you from yearly to monthly billing take effect at your next renewal.
  • The dashboard shows the price, the extra days and when a change takes effect before you confirm it.

8.3 Refunds

Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable, including for partial billing periods, unused requests, and plans cancelled before the end of a billing period. If you were charged because of a clear error on our part, such as a duplicate charge, contact us within 30 days of the charge at [email protected] and we will arrange a refund through Dodo Payments.

9. Termination

9.1 Termination by You

You may stop using the Services at any time. To delete your account, contact us at [email protected]. If you have a paid plan, cancel it first from your dashboard; Section 8.3 applies to any amounts already paid.

9.2 Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your account or API keys, with or without notice, if you:

  • Breach these Terms, including Section 4 or Section 6.
  • Cause or are likely to cause harm to ipoalerts, its users or the Services.
  • Are required to be suspended or terminated by law or a competent authority.

If we terminate your account for a breach of these Terms, you are not entitled to a refund. If we stop offering the Services altogether, we will refund the unused portion of any prepaid fees.

Sections 6.5, 6.6, 7, 10, 11, 12 and 14 survive termination.

10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

10.1 Disclaimers

The Services and the Data are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, timeliness, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free.

ipoalerts is an aggregator of publicly available data. Data may be delayed, incomplete or wrong. You should verify all Data with official sources before relying on it for any purpose. Nothing in the Services is investment advice. See our Disclaimer for more.

10.2 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ipoalerts is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data or investment losses, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Services or the Data. Our total liability for all claims relating to the Services is limited to the amount you paid us for the Services in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ipoalerts and its operators from any claims, losses, liabilities and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Services or the Data, or any product or service you offer that uses the Data, including claims by your end users.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any non-waivable rights you have under consumer protection law, the courts at Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, India alone have jurisdiction over any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Services.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms will be posted on the Website with a new "Effective Date" at the top. For material changes, we will also notify registered users by email or through the dashboard before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Services after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. General

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Disclaimer, are the entire agreement between you and ipoalerts about the Services. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
